This Privacy Policy explains how ALTIRA, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"), the operator of SmartName (the "Service"), collects and uses personal data when you use the Service. We keep the data we collect to what is needed to generate your names, deliver them and support you. Questions: support@smartname.ai.
Where the law where you live requires a legal basis, we rely on the performance of our contract with you (orders and delivery), your consent (gallery, reviews, optional account fields) and our legitimate interests (security, records, improvement).
Names are generated with Claude, an AI model from Anthropic (United States). Your questionnaire answers are sent to Anthropic's servers for the sole purpose of generating your names. Under Anthropic's API terms, inputs sent through the API are not used to train its models. Please do not include personal data such as full names, addresses or anything confidential in the questionnaire.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers we need to run the Service, each acting on our instructions and only for the purposes above:
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or with your consent. Because these providers are in other countries, your data may be transferred outside the country where you live; we choose providers that offer appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
We keep your customer details, questionnaire answers and results after delivery, for as long as they are needed to support you and to keep records of the transaction. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (Section 8). Account holders can also close their account from My page: this deletes the account details (including password, company name, phone number and address) and login, and removes any Featured Gallery entry. Order records (name, e-mail address, questionnaire answers and results) are kept as transaction records, with the link to the account removed.
We use one cookie, sn_session, which keeps you logged in for 30 days if you have an account. We also use your browser's local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) to save drafts of your questionnaire and results so that you do not lose them if a page reloads. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies and we do not use third-party analytics. We only count page views per day on our own server, without any personal data. Because we use no non-essential cookies, no cookie banner is shown.
We protect your data with appropriate measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access limited to what is needed to operate the Service.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, e-mail support@smartname.ai. We will verify your identity and respond promptly. You may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live.
The Service is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy when the law or the Service changes. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and important changes will be announced on the site.
