Refund Policy & Seller Information

This page tells you who sells SmartName, what it costs, how you pay, when you receive your names, and when a refund is available. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

REFUND POLICY

When we refund, and when we cannot

Digital content made on demand. Your names are generated from your own questionnaire answers as soon as you order. Because of this, once generation has started, the order cannot be cancelled and is not refundable. Where the law where you live gives you a right of withdrawal or a cooling-off period for digital content, by ordering you ask us to start generation immediately and acknowledge that this right ends once generation begins.
If our system fails. If our system does not generate or display your names, it retries automatically. If it still fails, e-mail support@smartname.ai and we will either regenerate your names free of charge or refund the full amount, whichever you prefer.
Taste is not a defect. Not liking the suggested names is not a reason for a refund. The names are delivered as described: AI-generated candidates with descriptions, without trademark or availability checks.
How refunds are paid. Refunds are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, and returned to the payment method you used at checkout. Timing depends on your bank or card issuer.
Your statutory rights. Nothing on this page limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law where you live.

Other costs	None from us. Your internet connection charges are your own.
Merchant of Record	Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it processes your payment, handles taxes and VAT, and issues your receipt. Paddle's name may appear on your card statement.
Payment methods	Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay, as offered by Paddle at checkout.
When you pay	At the time of ordering, before generation starts.
Delivery	Your names are generated after payment and after you submit the questionnaire, and are shown on screen, usually within 2 to 7 minutes (about 2 minutes for Light, 5 for Standard, 7 for Premium; it may take longer at busy times). We also send you an e-mail with a link when the result is ready, so you can close the page and come back. Results can be saved as PDF or CSV.
Refunds and cancellation	See the Refund Policy above: no refunds once generation has started, except free regeneration or a full refund if our system fails to generate or display your names.
Supported browsers	The latest versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari and Firefox, on desktop or mobile. JavaScript must be enabled.
Important notes	We do not perform trademark, company-register or domain searches and do not guarantee that a name can be registered or is free of third-party rights. Please check before adopting a name. Names are generated by AI and similar names may be suggested to other customers. See the Terms of Service.
